Laguiole en Aubrac... With exaggerated curves, a thicker spiral worm, and larger bolsters (the stainless steel areas at either end!) Laguiole en Aubrac makes for a slightly heavier and tougher looking corkscrew.
Details... The corkscrew itself has a slight indentation along the spiral worm which helps to grip the cork, a slightly curved serrated knife to cut the foil, beneath which is a bottle opener. The Laguiole en Aubrac logo is imprinted on the lever section.
Characteristics... The Laguiole en Aubrac has a fully formed 'bee' insignia on the spine and larger sized bolsters (similar to the Chateau Laguiole Grand Cru), thus making it stronger.
Available in Black Horn, Juniper wood, Olive wood and Oak wood. The Black Horn version is made with highly polished stainless steel and the wooden versions with brushed stainless steel. All come in a padded metal presentation box as pictured. However, please note that the colour of the presentation case may vary.
Imitations... Please be aware that the word Laguiole is a generic term not legally resticted to any one company or place of manufacture, it is the name of a town in France and not a brand name. Therefore there are many imitations of Laguiole corkscrews available, so take care when making your purchase.
