A brief history... The history of Laguiole dates back to 1829 when in the village of Laguiole in the Aubrac district of Southern France the Laguiole knife was first born. In 1880 the corkscrew was added which began the development of the Laguiole Corkscrew. Today, due to their elegant and distinctive lines, as well as fine craftsmanship and expensive materials, Laguiole Corkscrews are regarded as a design classic.
